Two teenagers were killed and a third person was critically injured early Sunday in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Deltona, authorities said.
The crash was happened around 3:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of Providence Boulevard between Wakefield Circle and Gold Terrace. Deputies say they found found an overturned 2011 Ford Focus sedan crashed against a tree in the median.
Killed were 17-year-old driver Brandon Schmid and 16-year-old passenger Jordan Golaszewski, both of Deltona. Samuel Bengochea, 23, was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, where he was listed in critical condition.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause and circumstances of the crash.
