The largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender celebration in Florida will take place this weekend in downtown Orlando.

The Come Out With Pride festival begins Thursday, Oct. 8, and goes through Sunday, Oct. 11. The main event is Saturday.

More than 140,000 people attended the 2014 festival, making it the largest LGBT celebration in the state and having an estimated $3 million economic impact on Orlando, event organizers said.

The theme of this year's event is Pride United. Several elected officials will speak at the rally at 6 p.m. Saturday, including Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Commissioner Patty Sheehan, Orange County Clerk Tiffany Moore Russell and Rep. David Richardson.

Come Out With Pride will also be giving out three scholarships on Saturday. The event's launch party takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight today at The Veranda in Thornton Park.

Come Out With Pride is a nonprofit organization that organizes the annual LGBT Pride Celebration in Orlando.
