Here's what you need to know for Central Florida's weather for the rest of the week:

  • Fall feeling continues, highs in the low- to mid-80s
  • Moisture returns to the forecast later this week

Tuesday night will be mostly, with the northeast winds bringing clouds in off the Atlantic. Lows will drop to the upper 60s.

Expect a fairly quiet day on Wednesday, with only a 20 percent chance of a spotty shower and partly sunny skies. We ramp back up to a 40 percent chance for Thursday and Friday, with highs back in the mid- to upper 80s.

A pretty nice weekend is ahead, with winds out of the north and northwest, highs in the mid-80s and only a few spotty showers expected.

In the tropics, Hurricane Joaquin is moving toward the northeast, and a turn toward the east-northeast with some further increase in forward speed is expected later Tuesday. Joaquin's maximum winds have decreased to near 80 mph.  Additional slow weakening is forecast, and Joaquin is expected to become extratropical late Wednesday.
