A man from The Villages has died from injuries sustained when his golf cart crashed with a van Tuesday.
It happened at 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Odell Circle and Ambrosia Place in The Villages.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Donald T. Browne, 79, was driving his golf car northbound on Odell Circle south of Ambrosia Place and turned into the path of van driven by Merle L. Hoops of The Villages.
The two vehicles crashed and traveled several feet before coming to a stop.
Browne and his passenger, 77-year-old Dorothy A. Browne, were both transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Troopers said Donald T. Browne died Wednesday and Dorothy A. Browne is in serious condition.
