An SUV ended up hanging off the Interstate 4 overpass Maitland Boulevard following a crash Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:15 p.m.

Orange County Fire Rescue (OCFR) says four vehicles were involved in the crash on Eastbound Maitland Boulevard and the SUV's rear wheels ended up hanging over the overpass.

The Maitland Police Department says a truck hit the back of the SUV, causing its rear wheels to go up and over the guardrail.

OCFR says three patients were transported to Florida Hospital North with non life threatening injuries.

It took crews over an hour to get the SUV off the guardrail and back onto the roadway.

The crash is under investigation.

A spokesperson with The Florida Department of Transportation says I-4 Ultimate crews checked the bridge for structural damage.

They say the bridge only received superficial damage and is safe to travel on and under.

It took crews over an hour to get the SUV off the guardrail and back onto the roadway.
