We saw plenty of sunshine on Wednesday but it remained cool and breezy, with highs only in the lower 60s and wind chill readings in the upper 50s. This north to northwest wind over the last two days is part of a larger weather pattern covering the eastern half of the country.
Wind has been wrapping around the large storm system northeast of New England, moving out of a large ridge of high pressure moving over the Eastern United States. The northerly flow around these features has been helping to usher in unseasonably cool air as far south as the Florida Peninsula.

Another cold morning is on the way with lows in the lower to middle 40s. Many locations north and west of the I-4 corridor will drop into the middle to upper 30s. Winds will subside overnight as skies remain clear, making tonight slightly colder than recent nights and allowing for the formation of some patchy frost. Frost Advisories have been posted for parts of the area.
Quiet weather will persist for the remainder of the workweek with mainly sunny skies each day and gradually warming temperatures. It will be mostly sunny and mild today with highs in the middle to upper 60s, and some spots may hit 70 degrees. Highs will bounce back to the lower 70s by Friday with middle to upper 70s here by the weekend. No rain is expected until the second half of the weekend when some showers will approach late on Super Bowl Sunday and into Monday.
