An Orlando police cruiser landed upside down after colliding with another car.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Columbia street near Bruton Boulevard in Orlando.

Police said the officer was responding to an emergency call with his sirens on when another car failed to yield and crashed into the cruiser.

The officer was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The other driver and a passenger were not hurt.

In Florida civilian vehicles must yield the right of way to emergency vehicles if they have their sirens on.
