A 65-year-old man was killed Saturday night after he was struck by a car along I-75 in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Lucious Colbert, of Ocala, was standing in the outside lane of southbound I-75 just south of State Road 40.
Allen Wilson Hopkins, 74, of Ocala, was traveling southbound on I-75 in the outside lane in a Hyundai Sonata.
The front of Hopkins' car collided with Colbert.
Colbert was pronounced dead at the scene around 9:50 p.m., a report states.
Charges are pending, and the investigation is ongoing, troopers said.
