A Seminole County boy suffered minor injuries after he was hit by a car while riding his bike Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An unknown driver was traveling southbound on Eden Park Road around 8:30 a.m.

Jack Rivera, 11, of Altamonte Springs, was traveling northbound on the west sidewalk of Eden Park Road on a bicycle.

The driver of the four-door Ford sedan attempted to make a right turn onto Cub Lake Drive. As Rivera entered the crosswalk for Cub Lake Drive, the front-right of the car struck Rivera.

Rivera was knocked off his bicycle, a report states.

The driver of the white-colored Ford got out and asked Rivera if he was OK and then left the scene without reporting the crash, troopers said.

Rivera rode to Teague Middle School, where he was taken to the hospital and checked for minor injuries.

Troopers are looking for the driver of the Ford. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 407-737-2213.
