Forsyth Road in Orange County was closed for hours as Duke Energy cleaned up a power pole and power lines that were brought down.
The incident happened at Forsyth and University Boulevard Friday afternoon.
Florida Highway Patrol said a semi was making a right out of the Sears Surplus store when the truck struck a guide wire. A power pole and power lines were brought down onto Forsyth Road.
Forsyth was shut down for several hours while the power company cleaned up the mess.
