A man has been arrested in connection to the Jan. 18 shooting in Osceola County that killed a 24-year-old man and injured a 30-year-old woman.

Jayson Omar Castillo-Caceres, 28, of Davenport, has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and carrying a concealed weapon.

The incident happened at the El Cibuco Restaurant, at 2231 Fortune Road.

Police said Castillo-Caceres and 24-year-old Juan Quiles, of Kissimmee, got into an altercation that escalated to gunfire. Quiles was pronounced dead at the scene.

Marianne Crespo Rodriguez, 30, sustained an injury to her hand. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated and then released.

Kissimmee Police Department detectives contacted Castillo-Caceres on Jan. 22, but he didn't cooperate with the investigation, a report states.

Castillo-Caceres was positively identified by witnesses as the person who shot and killed Quiles, detectives said.

Castillo-Caceres is being held at the Osceola County Jail without bond.
