The Osceola County Expressway Authority on Tuesday got some news about the controversial plans to expand Osceola Parkway.

The plans concerned hundreds of Central Florida residents when the architects initially proposed several options — including some that would cause more than 500 residents and businesses to relocate.

Just a handful of concerned residents spoke at the meeting. Architects said they've eliminated the plans with the most relocations. That now saves the Wyndham Estates neighborhood and surrounding areas.

With the current options still on the table, some residents will still have to relocate if the board approves those plans.

Architects also said they will continue to meet with the public. They plan to present a final proposal in November or December.

The board would then vote in 2015.
