Three schools in south Lake County were evacauted Monday morning after a series of bomb threats similar to those that evacuated schools in Seminole County on Friday.

Deputies have since given the all-clear at all three evacuated schools:

  • Clermont Middle School
  • Gray Middle School (Groveland)
  • South Lake High School (Groveland)

The first threat was called in at 8:45 a.m. to South Lake High School. The all-clear was given there around 12:45 p.m., and to the two middle schools evacuated around 1:20 p.m.

In addition, Cypress Ridge Elementary School students in portable classrooms were moved to the main building as a precaution because of the campus' close proximity to Clermont Middle School.

Monday's bomb threats came just three days after eight schools in Seminole County were evacuated due to similar threats. The FBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement have joined the investigation into the phone calls.
