Two adults and one child are OK after their boat capsized in the Indian River on Sunday.

Luckily, a Palm Bay firefighter was nearby and saw what happened. He immediately jumped into the water and helped pull all three people to safety.

One of the men on the boat said he was fishing, just like any other day.

"We were just out there fishing. The water was a little rough, took a little bit of water over the back of the boat and turned the bilge pump to start pumping the water out, but the water just kind of kept coming over the boat. We started heading in and it just got a little bit too much for it and capsized the boat," said George Coffey.

The child on the boat was wearing a life jacket which investigators say most likely saved her life.

FWC officers towed the 15-foot vessel back to shore.
