Residents in Seminole and Orange counties will have the opportunity to safely dispose of old, expired or unwanted prescription medications on Saturday.

Both counties are teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Drug Take Back Day, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The service is free with no questions asked. National prescription drug disposal events are held twice a year. At April's event, 1,589 pounds of prescription drugs were collected in Seminole County.
