A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times by a 15-year-old boy on Friday in Brevard County, deputies said.

The aggravated battery was reported around 6 p.m., along Stratford Drive, near Cocoa. The area is in unincorporated Brevard County.

Responding deputies found the 16-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, where he was listed in critical condition. He has undergone at least one surgery.

The investigation is ongoing, deputies said.
