Flagler County has a new four-legged celebrity in the mix.
Buddy, the orange tabby, has won the funny category of The Friskies 2014 Cat Video Awards.
In late August, a video of the 4-year-old shelter rescue's reaction to a flip-flop was named a finalist in the contest.
The win is bittersweet for his owner Leah Lester, who said Buddy was diagnosed with lyphoblastic leukemia and her vet, at the time, suggested putting the cat down.
Instead, she opted for an aggressive chemotherapy treatment and Buddy has beaten the odds.
Friskies donated 250,000 cans of cat food to shelters across the country during the voting.
