Investigators are asking for the public's help to identify a man and a woman who used a counterfeit credit card to make several purchases at local businesses in Seminole County.

A victim told deputies that she last used her McCoy Federal Credit Union on Sept. 4, at a Target in Altamonte Springs.

She was asked for her card in order to perform a return/exchange, according to a report.

The woman then tried to use the same card on Sept. 6, but the transaction was declined. The woman contacted her bank and was told the card was cancelled because of multiple high-amount charges. The victim told deputies that she found it "strange because her card was still in her possession," the report states.

The woman checked her online bank account and discovered several transactions that were not conducted or authorized by her, including one at a Target in Casselberry for $106.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is asked to call the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at 407-665-6650 or CrimeLine at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
