Take your pet for a walk on Cocoa Beach and help Brevard County's shelter animals.
This Saturday is the 13th annual Paws at the Pier in Cocoa Beach, benefiting the Central Brevard Humane Society.
The event takes place at the newly bought and renovated Westgate Resorts Cocoa Beach Pier from 8 a.m. until noon.
There will be pet contests, a beach dog walk, a pet psychic, food and live music.
Advance tickets for this year's event are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the Central Brevard Humane Society in Cocoa, the Merritt Island Adoption Center, any of the Molly Mutt Thrift Shops and the Cocoa Beach Pier.
Tickets at the door are $15 for adults and $8 for kids.
Registration for the walk on the beach starts at 7:30 a.m., and the walk runs from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per dog, $5 for each additional dog in a family.
Dogs must have county tags, be leashed and have proof that they are current on their shots.
