The House of Representatives has passed a bill to increase oversight of Veterans Affairs hospitals currently under construction, as well as those built in the future.

This includes the hospital currently being built in Lake Nona.

The bill comes after a report suggested some medical centers have taken three years longer to complete than originally expected, and cost an extra $366 million per project.

As you know, the project in Lake Nona has been delayed several times.

It was originally supposed to open back in 2012.

The House bill would require the VA to appoint a project manager from the Army Corp of Engineers to oversee construction projects that cost more than $60 million.
