Gov. Rick Scott reached out to Central Florida women Monday during a campaign stop in Orange County.

Scott stopped in Winter Park to talk about the female role in Florida's growing economy.

He then talked about where we’ve been, where we are and where we’re going as a state, much of it familiar to anyone who’s been following the race.

Scott said the state lost jobs under former governor and opponent Charlie Crist.

He then praised business people for their role in restoring the state -- and promised them more tax cuts.

"When I say we it’s you, business people have done it. Men and women have put their money at risk," Scott said. They’ve tried things. You have added jobs. We have cut your taxes 40 times and we’re going to keep doing it. We’re going to cut it a billion dollars."

Scott’s next campaign stop will be in Tampa Tuesday. Crist will be in Orlando Tuesday to speak to the Hispanic community.
