A 22-year-old man was killed after he was struck by a car while walking in the crosswalk along U.S. 27 in Lake County late Saturday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Julio Cesar Santana, 56, of Clermont, was traveling southbound on U.S. 27 around 11:21 p.m., the report states.
Michael Chaffin Jr., of Bismarck, North Dakota, was attempting to cross U.S. 27 in the crosswalk at Cagan Crossings.

Chaffin was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
The crash remains under investigation. Charges are pending.
