Dozens of Florida health centers are getting more than $13 million from the federal government to improve the access Floridians have to primary care.

Officials say 48 centers will be getting the grant money.

The grant money will be used to hire additional staff, expand clinic hours, and add new services, such as pharmacy and vision.

As more Americans get insurance under the Affordable Care Act, health centers are getting busier.

Officials say Florida has a severe shortage of doctors, at least 750 more are needed to fix the delays in care.
