Governor Rick Scott has kicked a now-convicted felon off the Central Florida Expressway Authority.

The governor ordered Scott Batterson out, just two days after he was convicted of bribery.

Batterson was found guilty of offering to give a $5 million contract to a consultant, as long as his friends were hired.

Batterson was suspended from the now-defunct Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority, and has now been officially removed.

OOCEA members were moved to the new agency to serve until their replacements are appointed.

Batterson could get up to 30 years in prison when he's sentenced in October.

Gov. Scott appointed Batterson to the agency in 2011.
