Firefighters in Brevard County are trying to determine what started a fire that destroyed a home and damaged another in West Melbourne.
Thick black smoke could be seen for miles around the house near Dairy Road Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters were not able to save the house, but when the flames spread to a second home they were able to put that fire out quickly.
No one was hurt in the fire.
