Ocoee police have made an arrest in the case of a recent purse snatching that injured a 74-year-old victim.

Charlotte Dunaway was entering a Publix grocery store in Ocoee when a suspect violently snatched her purse, slamming her to the ground.

The suspect and two others fled the area.

On Thursday, August 28, investigators confirmed the arrest of one suspect who they say has admitted to snatching Dunaway's purse. That suspect is only 14 years old. The other suspects have been identified, and are also juveniles.

"I'm angry at what they did," said Kristi Tilton, Dunaway's daughter. "We realize that my mom could have been killed from this, she's 74-years-old and taking that kind of blow to the head I think like she said, they could have murder on their hands."

"We understand that he was on probation for something out of Georgia for something else he had done. This isn't a first time for him.  He's 14 yes, but I don't think that it would have been any more severe for my mom if had been somebody older."

Per News 13's Crime Guildines, we will not be releasing names or photos of the suspects.

Dunaway, who has since been released from the hospital, told News 13 that the purse snatchers were lucky she didn't have a cane when they attacked.
