A countywide helpline is now using an expanded program to provide the public with even more services.
211 Brevard helpline specialists can now chat with people needing help online.
The group is changing its hours for a pilot program, allowing chat interaction between the helpline specialists and people who log in.
The pilot program is funded through a Community Foundation for Brevard grant.
They can get referral help, crisis intervention information and more.
The chat is available from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays on 211brevard.org.
Helpline specialists are available by phone 24/7.
