The search for an attempted rape suspect in Osceola County continues two days after a male, believed to be a teenager, tried to sexually batter two women.

The suspect, who is believed to be between 14 years old and 16 years old, attempted to sexually batter two females Monday afternoon in the area of the 1900 block of Island Circle, at the Reef Club Apartments.

"The victim was walking in between some buildings, and our suspect walked up behind her and grabbed her. But (the victim) was able to get away," said Stacie Miller, spokeswoman for the Kissimmee Police Department.

The first attack took place around 3 p.m. Monday.

Then, around 4:30 p.m., another woman was moving into her new apartment when she asked the teen to help carry something upstairs. The man walked into the apartment, and that's when the woman told police he locked the door. The victim was able to push past the suspect and exit the apartment. The suspect fled the area again.

An extensive search over the past two days has come up empty, police said.

Detectives went door-to-door on Tuesday inside the complex, letting residents known to be aware of what two incidents and to keep an eye out for the suspect.

"It's crazy," said Nehemie Thomas, who lives in the complex. "It could happen to anybody. Even a little kid."

Police are hoping to find the teenage suspect quickly before he tries to attack again.

"We need to locate him," Miller said. "(We need to) find out who he is before he does do some harm to somebody."

The suspect could face attempted sexual battery and occupied burglary with false imprisonment charges. .

He is described to be 5-feet, 4-inches tall with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
