If you're looking for a new way to get to the nation's capital from the Space Coast, there's one about to begin.

Elite Airways recently announced its setting up shop at the Melbourne International Airport, with nonstop service from Brevard County to Washington Dulles International Airport.

Flights begin Sept. 8.

On Mondays and Thursdays, flights leave at 7 a.m., and land in Washington, D.C., at 9:15 a.m. On a return flight, departure from Washington, D.C., is 9:45 a.m., and flights land in Melbourne at 11:50 a.m.

Fares begin at $199. Elite Airways officials had originally hoped to get the new service off the ground in early 2013.
