Officials are investigating a suspicious fire that happened in Brevard County on Thursday.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning near Lake Ibis Drive in West Melbourne.
Firefighters say the building was engulfed by flames when they arrived.
According to investigators, there was no power running to the building and it was vacant when the fire broke out.
"At this point we don't know what caused the fire. It's an abandoned home, [and] does not appear that anyone was here at the time the fire started. So we are going to do a full investigation just to determine what the cause of the fire was," said Jeff Taylor, Brevard County Fire Rescue.
