Several children now have a basketball hoop, thanks to a Marion County deputy.

Deputies said Deputy Bloom responded to a call where children were involved Friday, Aug. 1.

He played basketball with them, despite not having a hoop.

Then with the help of Carter’s Towing and Recovery, the deputy was able to purchase a hoop for the kids.

He then delivered the hoop Aug. 7 following his 12-hour shift and stayed until he had to get ready for his next shift.
