A Lake County motorcyclist is dead following a crash in Sumter County.
It happened just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday on East County Road 470 at NE 54th Terrace.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the driver of a 2008 Nissan Altima was eastbound on CR-470 and tried to turn left into the Federal Correctional Complex of Coleman.
Troopers said the Nissan's driver failed to see a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling westbound and turned into its path. The car struck the motorcycle, ejecting David Feene, 50, of Leesburg.
Feene was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Charges are pending in the crash.
