A teenager is behind bars right now after police say he was caught with 24 stolen guns, a stolen car and other stolen property.

Law enforcement officers arrested 19-year-old Alex Safford and say they recovered numerous stolen items from the home of his girlfriend's grandfather in New Smyrna Beach.

An arrest report says Safford stole items out of cars parked at the condominium, as well as from the home of his friend's parents while they were on vacation.

This isn't Safford's first run with the law as an adult; he was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and theft in Novemeber of 2013.

Safford remains behind bars without bond charged with 24 counts of grand theft of a firearm, armed burglary, grand theft of a vehicle and dealing in stolen property.
