A skydiver is in critical condition after being injured during a jump in DeLand on Friday.
Police responded to a call around 11 a.m. in regards to a skydiver being seriously injured.
According to the police report, Aline Leao was hurt after hitting the ground on Detrick Road north of the airport. Officials say Leao is visiting from Brazil.
At this time, it is unclear if there was an accident with her parachute.
Early reports are unconfirmed, but say it's believed Leao got tangled up in pine trees and had to cut herself loose.
Leao was transported to Halifax Hospital, and was in critical condition at last check.
