A couple from Flagler County has been arrested after the pair was accused of taking an extended test drive from a car dealership in Montana — all the way back to Central Florida.
According to Flagler County deputies, 31-year-old James David Bailey and 25-year-old and Andrea Brooke Jette, both from Bunnell, called for a tow truck early Sunday morning, saying they had run out of gas.
After the tow truck driver delivered the gas, the pair took off without paying him.
The car, which investigators said was taken from a car dealership in Montana, was spotted a short time later by Flagler County deputies.
Bailey and Jette were found hiding under a car in the Tom Gibbs Chevrolet lot in Palm Coast.
Both have been charged with grand theft of the car, as well as petit theft for not paying for the gasoline.
