Detectives from the Leesburg Police Department are currently looking for two men they say shot another man while he sat in his car at a local park.

Officers responded to a call just before 10:30 p.m. on July 30 in reference to an armed robbery in the area of Tuskegee Street and Simmons Avenue.

When officers arrived on the scene, they immediately made contact with the victim, Jeremy Harrison, 22, who had been shot in his right forearm and had visible injuries to his head and face.

Harrison told officers he and a female friend were sitting in a vehicle parked at Berry Park when two men approached them.

Harrison said that both men were wearing masks, and in addition to shooting him, he was also struck with the pistol. The suspects stole Harrison's shorts, wallet and shoes.

According the police report, Harrison told officers he was able to drive to a nearby residence on Tuskegee Street and asked the resident to call 911.

Officers search the area on foot with assistance from a K-9 team, but no suspects were located.

Harrison was transported to the Leesburg Regional Medical Center and eventually transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center; Harrison's injuries were not life-threatening.
