Their eyes saw freedom ring for the first time.

Their hands signed the document that created a nation.

And they're all on display in living color in Lake County at the Presidents Hall of Fame.  Sure, they’re made from wax, but the American presidents on display have stories to tell.

"Grant would appreciate the significance of everything here.  Especially the White House replica itself,” said Bret Gordon, an actor portraying General Ulysses S. Grant at the Presidents Hall of Fame.

In the hills of Clermont, find the White House inside an attraction crammed full of presidential memorabilia from floor to ceiling. Bret appreciates historical artifacts like the pillows off the Reagan sofa, campaign flags and even the presidential china.

"I think what the museum here does great is personify people,” Bret said. “When history is taught in school, it's a lot of names and dates, names and dates.  No one gets into the people that were involved."

At the base of Citrus Tower, the exterior looks like the White House recreated. You can't miss it with Mount Rushmore next door.

"We don't understand and realize, this miniature White House has toured the world and here it sits in Clermont, in Central Florida,” said Ann Dupee, a Clermont historian. “Get in your car and come."

The miniature White House allows visitors a peek inside the executive mansion. Feet away on this Independence Day holiday, you too can walk in the steps of the founding fathers. Visitors may add their “John Hancock” signature to the Decoration of Independence.  Grab the feathered pen and sign away.

"This is a wonderful place to be,” Ann concluded.  “We are so fortunate."
