An ambulance pulled over a wrong-way driver in a golf cart Tuesday night and it was all caught on the emergency vehicle's camera.

The incident happened in The Villages, and the paramedics said the golf cart almost hit their ambulance.

The Lake EMS ambulance almost collided head-on with the cart on El Camino Real near Buenos Aires Boulevard.

There’s a two way path for golf cart traffic right next to the divided roadway. Investigators think the woman may have confused the path with the road because she’d been drinking.

The Sumter County Sheriff's Office arrested 54-year-old Doreen Brown for DUI, after blowing .151 and .146 on a breathalyzer test. That's nearly twice the legal limit.

"Our crew used their emergency lights to alert other drivers of a traffic hazard," said Jerry Smith, Lake EMS' director. "We believe their actions prevented an incident which could have ended tragically."

Brown is now out of jail on bond.
