Diagon Alley -- most of it -- is open.
Universal Orlando confirms Diagon Alley opened to guests Thursday afternoon. Park guests will be able to experience portions of the new "Harry Potter" themed land, including the shops, food and entertainment.
However, soft opening hours and access will be limited -- including access to the new centerpiece ride, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. Universal made it a point to say guests will get to ride the attraction on opening day, July 8.
Universal also said that the shops and food venues may not be open all the time.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley expands the Harry Potter universe at Universal that began in 2010 with the opening of Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure.
Park guests began riding the Hogwarts Express Tuesday, as long as they had a park-to-park pass.
