Two loggerhead sea turtle are back in the ocean, after some Disney marine biologists attached satellite transmitters to their shells.

The turtles, named Anna and Elsa after characters from Disney’s Frozen, are part of the 2014 Tour de Turtles migration marathon.

The goal of this annual event is to raise awareness about sea turtle conservation and to help scientists track these endangered species.

During turtle nesting season, Disney’s Animal Program team members monitor sea turtle nests as part of their efforts to protect them.

This is the seventh year Disney has sponsored the event. You can track the turtles online at the Tour de Turtles website.
