An attempted murder suspect is behind bars in Orange County, accused of shooting a man in front of a crowd of people.
Police said the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday, in the area of West 8th Street and Lou Ann Drive.
Shamoule Brown was arrested Tuesday morning and booked into the Orange County Jail.
Brown is accused of shooting Demeintric Johnson in the abdomen.
Witnesses told police there was a large crowd gathering and arguing on the sidewalk when Brown pulled a gun and shot Johnson.
Brown took off, but surrendered to police this morning.
