Downtown Kissimmee became the site of a Latin rights rally on Thursday.

But, those participating voiced criticism of Governor Rick Scott.

Rally attendees held signs underlining opportunities in Osceola County and in the state of Florida.

Local politicians and guest speakers spoke about how they believe the Hispanic community has been suppressed during Governor Scott’s time in office.

But they said the rally wasn’t a rally against Governor Scott. They say it's a rally for the Latin community and Osceola County voters.

News 13 reached out to Governor Rick Scott’s office, and received a response with a reference to Lieutenant Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera’s latest campaign.

That campaign states that both the Lieutenant Governor and Governor are focusing on small business owners, and say they will “continue to work to create jobs and promote opportunities for small business owners."
