A Boys and Girls Club employee in Kissimmee has been accused of inappropriately touching a teen.

Sylvester Johnson, 62, has worked for the Kissimmee Boys & Girls Club for just over six years. Thursday night Johnson was arrested and charged with inappropriately touching an 11-year-old girl at the Boys and Girls Club.

Investigators said the girl asked Johnson for money for a snack. He then led her to a utility closet where he reportedly touched her.

But when the girl started telling people, more girls came forward saying Johnson had touched them too.

Now investigators believe Johnson may be facing more charges in the future. “We believe her story and now we are having more victims coming forward,” said Kissimmee spokesperson Stacie Miller.

The President and CEO of the Central Florida Boys and Girls Club told us all of their employees go through extensive background checks. He said just last month Johnson underwent his annual background check, and there weren’t any red flags.

The Central Florida Boys & Girls Club contacted the authorities about the incident, and just like many parents they told us they are also shocked and disappointed.

This is an ongoing investigation and Kissimmee police say if anyone has more information, they should contact the Kissimmee Police Department at 407-846-3333.
