The only survivor of a murder-suicide in Lake County has died.
Eddie Ratliff died Wednesday, two days after he was beaten with a baseball bat.
Tavares Police said Ratliff was beaten by James Jones, who was dating Ratliff's sister.
James Jones also beat Shannon Ratliff and Mavis Ratliff, killing them. He then killed himself.
The victims' family said Jones was schizophrenic and off his medication. They said Jones had been like part of the family for the past 15 years.
Police are still trying to figure out what triggered the attack.
