A baby boy who is being called a miracle baby celebrated his first birthday on Sunday.

Connor Sorensen was born at only 24 weeks and weighed less than a pound at birth, making him the smallest baby ever born at Florida Hospital in Orlando.

Connor beat the odds with five surgeries after doctors didn't give him much of a chance to live.

After spending the first six months of his life in the hospital, Connor was finally able to head home on December 23rd.

"I didn't let myself get excited until I was sitting in the wheelchair with him in my arms outside the hospital front door. And I thought, you know, this is it, he's actually coming home, he's healthy enough to come home," said Holly Sorensen, Connor's Mother.

Connor now weighs a little over 10 pounds.
