The owner of an Orange County medical practice has been arrested on charges of drug trafficking and racketeering after agents raided his Winter Garden pain care clinic.

Vincent Goodwin was put in handcuffs Thursday as agents from the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation and the Florida Department of Health raided the Pain Care Place of Central Florida, on South Dillard Street.

"I didn't do anything wrong," Goodwin said from a police car on his way to the Orange County Jail.

Authorities said large amounts of Oxycodone, morphine and hydromorphone were being illegally prescribed at the Pain Care Place. Around 10,000 controlled substances were illegally sold out of the clinic over just a two-day span in October 2013.

Goodwin, 56, is accused of extorting Dr. Rica Bogdany, who worked at the clinic, to falsely sign and illegally prescribe medication.

"She was being threatened by the owner that her pay would be withheld -- the pay of the assistance in the office would be withheld -- and also that he would report her to the Department of Health," said Samuel Riggi Jr., with the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation.

Dr. Bogdany does not face any charges at this time, agents said.
