Sanford police confirm two more people have come forward to say they were groped by a man who initially said he could read their palms.

Police arrested 52-year-old Zulfikar Jaffer Monday for two instances in Seminole County in the last few days.

The incidents happened outside the Aldi and Walmart Supercenters on South Orlando Drive.

Police said Jaffer approached women in the parking lot. He would either ask to read their palm, or in one case, a woman said he grabbed her hand and started reading it.

Before he was done, the victims said he slipped his hands into their shirts.

Other shoppers we spoke with said what he did was creepy.

“He’d probably get slapped and maybe kicked and God knows what else to be very honest,” said Rhonda Fisher, a shopper.

“That’s creepy,” said Angela Burglund, another shopper. “I would walk away.”

Officers kept an eye out for Jaffer after receiving calls from two different women.

Police said the first incident happened as a woman was loading her child into her car at a nearby Aldi.

The second victim claims Jaffer read her palm in the Walmart parking lot. He then convinced her to sit inside his car before reaching down her shirt to feel her chest.

Police located Jaffer inside the Walmart and arrested him on two counts of battery. He has since bonded out from the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.

When asked by investigators about the allegations, Jaffer said he reaches into people’s shirts to feel their heartbeats during the readings.

Sanford Police have not explained the circumstances surrounding the two new victims who came forward Tuesday.
