A Melbourne man was sentenced to 50 years in federal prison after being convicted for production and possession of child pornography.

Chief U.S. District Judge Anne Conway included a life term of supervised release in the sentencing of Alan Ender, 58, Melbourne. Judge Conway also ordered Ender to comply with sex offender registration and notification.

Ender pleaded guilty to the charges on November 14, 2013.

Court documents show the investigation began when an Internet website reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that a specific IP address was engaged in downloading child pornography.

An investigation by law enforcement determined the location of the IP address, and investigators interviewed Enter.

Ender admitted to downloading and possessing child pornography for a period of two to three years, and also admitted to producing child pornography.

In order to produce the child pornography, Ender lured two six-year-old girls from his neighborhood into his home with candy. He then took explicit photographs of the girls on his bed.

Authorities executed a search warrant and seized Ender's computers and cameras.

The forensic search of the computer revealed 151 image files, and one movie file, depicting pornographic images of the two young girls. Authorities determined Ender produced these files using his own cameras.

Further forensic examination revealed an additional 102 image files, and 477 movie files of child pornography.
