Daytona Rising developers said they've reached an important milestone in the Daytona International Speedway renovation project.
The first escalator was raised and installed on the west end of the frontstretch in Volusia County.
When all is said and done the grandstands will have 40 escalators, which tops the nation in the number of stadium escalators.
Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III said the escalators will help guests explore the updated venue and what it has to offer.
