Two sandhill cranes in Brevard County are once again causing problems along a busy Melbourne intersection -- pecking at cars and wandering in traffic.

The two cranes stopped in the intersection of NASA Boulevard and Evans Road on Wednesday.

Drivers got out of their cars to shoo the birds away.

Two weeks ago, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission moved their nest with two eggs that was dangerously close to the street.

People who work nearby said they are still worried one of them will get hit.

"They are standing immediately in front of your car, so a couple of guys have shooed them away, and they'll fly away and come right back around to that same spot," said Brock Williams, who works in the area.

It's not yet known if the eggs have hatched.

Drivers are still asked to be careful to avoid the birds, which are both federally and state protected.
